OVERVIEW
Road Runner Video Channel (RR Video Channel) is a browser-based App that provides a wide variety of high quality video content that can be enjoyed anywhere only on the Road Runner network. RR Video Channel is available to all Road Runner customers at no additional charge.

RR Video Channel provides lively, informative, on-demand programming. RR Video Channel offers you hundreds of clips from news and entertainment programs, films and documentaries and music videos. Video content will be provided by partners such as A&E, AP, CNN, Howcast, Scripps, and HBO. Parental controls are not available at this time.

How do I access RR Video Channel?
To access RR Video Channel select the Video channel button in the top navigation bar to launch the player.

How do I find programs on RR Video Channel?
Programs can be chosen straight from the RR Video Channel Home screen by choosing from a category shown on the left-hand side of the page.

Video Programs
Programs are classified into several categories:

  • News: videos from providers like AP and CNN that offer the latest news clips on National, International, Entertainment, Sports, Business, Politics, and Health related topics
  • TV: contains a variety clips, promos, short-form and full episodes from providers like A&E (including History Channel and Biography), National Geographic, HBO, Golf Channel, Big Ten Network, and more.
  • Trailers: reviews and trailers for the latest movies.
  • Music: hundreds of music videos from Music Choice.
  • Living: clips on Lifestyle topics from TV channels such as Food Network, DIY, Living, and how-to videos from the web video provider Howcast.

What kind of media player is required to play RR Video Channel?
RR Video Channel supports Windows Media Player (WMP) 9 or later for Windows operating systems and Windows Media Player 9 for Macintosh operating systems. QuickTime 7 or higher or RealPlayer 9 or higher is required to view the RR Video Channel.

What should I do to make sure everything works?

  • Verify that your system meets or exceeds all the requirements listed above.
  • Check the status of your sound card drivers.
  • Check the status of your video card drivers.
  • Add Road Runner Video to the list of accepted web sites in your firewall.

How do I check the status of my sound card in Windows 2000 or XP?

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Control Panel.
  4. Click System.
  5. Select the Hardware tab.
  6. Click Device Manager.
  7. Click the plus sign (+) to expand the Sound, video, and game controllers entry.
  8. Right-click your sound card title (Audio Codec, etc. ..)
  9. Select Properties.
  10. In the Device Status box, check that the message is "This device is working properly." If the Device Status message states that the device is not working properly, press the Troubleshooting button or contact your sound card or computer manufacturer for further assistance.

How do I check the status of my video card in Windows 2000 or XP?

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Click Settings.

Why do I need to adjust the settings in my firewall?
Firewalls are meant to protect your computer from outside threats such as viruses, spyware, malware and more. If settings on firewalls are not brought up-to-date, it is likely that access to desired Internet content will not be available. If you have installed a firewall, make sure that you have added Road Runner Video to the list of accepted web sites.
