Outlook 2003 - Win - Setup
To set up Outlook 2003:
- Select Options from the Tools menu.
- From the Options window, select the Mail Setup tab.
- Click the Email Accounts... button.
- Choose the Add a new Email account option and click the Next button.
- Select the POP3 radio button and click the Next button.
- In the Internet Email Settings (POP3) window, enter the following information:
User Information
- Enter your name as you wish it to appear in the Your Name field.
- Enter your Email address in the username@domain.com format in the Email Address field (i.e., the domain appears after the @ symbol in your Email address, such as ).
Server Information
- Enter your POP Server Name (i.e., your POP Server Name will have the same ending as your Email address, such as ) in the Incoming Mail Server (POP3) field.
- Enter your SMTP Server Name (i.e., your SMTP Server Name will have the same ending as your Email address, such as ) in the Outgoing Mail Server field.
Logon Information
- Enter your user name in the User Name field.
- Enter your password in the Password field.
- Click the Test Account Settings... button to verify the information you entered is correct.
- To leave a copy of your Email on the server:
- Click the More Settings... button.
- Select the Advance tab.
- In the Delivery section, check the Leave a copy of messages on the server box.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Close button.
- Click the Next button, then click the Finish button.
