Logging into the System
To log in to Account Management:

  1. In Help & Member Services, select the Self Care button in the top navigation bar.

    You can also click on the RR Self Care link from the Road Runner Help drop-down menu on the Road Runner® home page.

  2. In the Login window, select your Language Preference:.
  3. Enter your full Email in the Road Runner Email Address: field.
  4. Enter your password in the Password: field.
  5. Select Remember Me: preference. If you select Yes, your Email address will be re-displayed the next time the you launch the Self Care portal. The password will NOT be saved.
  6. Type in the image information in the Enter the text as it appears in the image in the area below the image: field.

    NOTE: Enter the text exactly as it appears; data is case-sensitive.

  7. Click the Login button to continue.

Error Messages
If your Username or password is invalid,

  1. Re-enter your full Road Runner Email Address again.
  2. Re-enter your Password.
  3. Re-enter the text as it appears in the image.
  4. Click the Login button.

If you have failed to log in 3 times,

  • Your account is disabled, but will be available in 2 hours.
  • This will not disable your Email account, only the access to the Self Care tool.

If the text you entered for the image below does not match,

  1. Select your Language Preference:.
  2. Enter your full Email in the Road Runner Email Address: field.
  3. Enter your password in the Password: field.
  4. Select Remember Me: preference. If you select Yes, your Email address will be re-displayed the next time the you launch the Self Care portal. The password will NOT be saved.
  5. Type in the image information in the Enter the text as it appears in the image in the area below the image: field.

  6. Click the Login button to continue.


Auto Log-out
After a period of inactivity (default is currently 30 minutes) the Self Care Portal will auto log-out of your browser session. A Log-out screen will be displayed requesting you to log in again.

Change Password
To change your password:

  1. In the User Management window, click the Change Password button.

  2. In the Change Password window, enter your current password in the Current Password: field.
  3. Enter your new password in the New Password: field.
    Note:  Passwords must be between 8 and 12 characters in length.
  4. Retype your new password in the Confirm Password: field.
  5. Click the Change Password button to complete.

Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten your password, you can obtain a new, temporary password via the Road Runner Password Reset Tool.


Creating a Sub User
To create a Sub User account:

  1. In the User Management window, click the Create a New Sub User link located at the top of the page.

  2. In the Create New Sub User window, enter the new Sub User's ID in the New Sub User ID: field.
  3. Enter the Sub User's first name in the First Name: field.
  4. Enter the Sub User's last name in the Last Name: field.
  5. Type the password to be used by the Sub User in the Password: field.
    Note:  Passwords must contain at least 8 -12 characters.
  6. Retype the above password in the Confirm Password: field.
  7. Click the Create New Sub User button.

  8. In the User Management window, click the Enable User link.

  9. Check the Enabled radio button.
  10. Click the Update button to complete.

    NOTE: It could take up to 5 minutes for a newly created Sub Account to become accessible.


Deleting a Sub User
To delete a Sub User account:

  1. In the User Management window, click the Manage User link for the Sub User you wish to delete.

  2. Check the Delete radio button.
  3. Click the Update button to complete.

Restoring a Sub User

To restore a Sub User account:

NOTE: Sub User accounts are available to be restored for days.

  1. In the User Management window, click the Restore User link for the Sub User you wish to restore.

  2. In the Restore Sub User window, click the Restore User button to complete.

Updating the Status of a Sub User

To update the status of a Sub User:

  1. In the User Management window, click the Manage User link for the Sub User you wish to update.

  2. Check the Enabled radio button to enable, the Disabled radio button to disable, or the Delete radio button to delete the Sub User.
  3. Click the Update button to complete.

Modem Information

To view modem information:

  1. In the User Management window, click the Modem Information link located at the top of the page.
  2. In the Modem Information window, it will display any current modem MAC address on your account.

Logging Out of the System

To log out of the system:

  1. Click the Log Out button in the right hand corner of the window.
  2. This will bring you back to the logon window.
